Pre-procedure for lips:

All Initial Procedures Require A Consult!
  • If you have ever had cold sores you will need an antiviral prescription. Physicians usually instructs to begin taking it 3-4 days before procedure, for a 7-10 day course.
  • If you have had any type of lip surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent makeup procedure to the lips.
  • Please exfoliate area 3 days prior to appointment.
Post-procedure for lips:
  • Lips will be tender at first. Drink through a straw to avoid excess discomfort. Choose foods you can eat easily without fork or food touching lips to much if it’s causing any discomfort.
  • Place a clean towel or fabric to pillowcase if you’d prefer to not transfer pigment to your pillowcase.
  • On the third day, Lips may start peeling. We suggest Aquaphore ointment for moisture. Let your lips heal naturally.
  • Try to keep toothpaste off lips while healing as much as possible.
  • Do not have teeth bleached while healing.
  • During the peeling process it may look like there is not much color there. Color will be more apparent by the second week. Final result is not fully judged until up to 2 months. This is completely normal.
  • It is normal to have discomfort or a feeling of pressure the day of lip procedure. The next day is minimal should you continue to feel discomfort, feel free to call with any questions.
  • Day one wait 1-2 hours to allow the wound to weep, after 2 hours wipe with moisten cotton pad, and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor with a cotton swab every hour until bed.
  • Clean area with mild soap and water before bed, and apply thin layer of Aquaphor.
  • Day 2 repeat the wiping of the brows two times a day and adding a thin layer of Aquaphor.
